KINDRED PULSE

Kindred Pulse is one of four original drawings in Of Earth and Instinct, a collection exploring the horse’s connection to landscape and the instinctive bonds within a herd.

Two wild horses stand with their heads gently touching, their long, untamed manes falling across one another. One rests with its eyes closed while the other looks out from beneath its forelock. Among the tall grasses, their closeness suggests a quiet trust: the freedom to rest beside a companion who remains watchful.

Created freehand in graphite, charcoal and PanPastel on Arches hot pressed paper, the drawing combines fine detail in the horses’ faces and manes with a soft, atmospheric background. Delicate grasses place them within the landscape while keeping their connection at the heart of the work. Kindred Pulse captures a moment of companionship, where rest and awareness exist side by side.

FRAMED – The original is professionally framed in natural oak with a slim charcoal inner oak frame, carefully chosen to complement the drawing. Conservation grade, acid free materials protect the artwork, while museum quality Artglass reduces reflections and provides UV protection, allowing the detail and texture to be enjoyed clearly.
