I’m delighted to share that I’ve been selected to exhibit at the Dutch Equine Art Fair 2026 in Amsterdam. From 29 October to 1 November, my work will be shown at the Living Horse Museum, within the historic De Hollandsche Manege.

For the fair, I’ve created Of Earth and Instinct: four new original drawings exploring the horse’s relationship with its surroundings and the quiet bonds that hold a herd together. Each work has its own character. A solitary horse pauses among the grasses in Where Stillness Gathers; three horses face a changing sky in Into the Gathering Storm; two companions share a moment of trust in Kindred Pulse; and three horses settle close together in Wild Repose.

Each piece is drawn freehand in graphite, charcoal and PanPastel on Arches hot pressed paper. Across the collection, I’ve worked with expressive marks, finely observed details and atmospheric tones to convey both the presence of the horses and the feeling of the world around them.

It means a great deal to take this collection to Amsterdam and show it alongside the work of other artists who share a fascination with the horse. If you’re visiting the fair, I would love you to see the drawings in person. The details in the marks, the layers of tone and the scale of each original are always best experienced up close.
