ARABIAN with HERITAGE ROSES and PEONIES’ presents an intimate equine portrait of an Arabian horse framed by locally grown Norfolk peonies along with ancient roses that cascade gently around the figure like a soft atmospheric presence. The composition focuses on the horse as a distinct individual subject—defined through poise, temperament and quiet emotional intensity set within a delicate array of oversized blooms.

The work extends portraiture beyond the human figure, where identity is expressed through posture, gaze and the subtle relationship between strength and softness, power and fragility. The Arabian horse becomes the central focus of contemplation, combining both strength and elegance, its refined form and inherent vitality held in tension with the transient, organic movement of the surrounding flowers.

Themes of resilience and grace underpin the piece, where enduring strength meets delicacy and fleeting beauty.
